  • Position Description:

    Responsible for training and reviewing specific aspects of the revenue cycle including: scheduling, registration, insurance verification, registration quality, charge entry and charge reconciliation, claims editor rejections, external payer transmission of registration related denials, and point of service workflows for all new and existing employees. Responsible for documenting all findings in a database, serving as a liaison between staff and management, reporting registration quality staff scores, continuous process improvement and ongoing employee education. Serves as systems administrator for various revenue cycle software applications and assists with development, installation, and ongoing maintenance of new initiatives and software applications. Works as an integral component for system go-lives and unanticipated system downtimes and recovery.

    Qualifications Required:

    High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five (5) years revenue cycle training/auditing experience including curriculum development/preparation and 2 years of continuous classroom training or presentation experience or Associates degree in education or healthcare related field with a minimum of three (3) years revenue cycle training/auditing experience in a hospital/ physician practice management group/health plan organization, or Bachelor’s degree in education or healthcare related field with a minimum of one (1) year experience in a revenue cycle training/auditing. Excellent detail orientation, communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be PC/computer proficient including Microsoft software, e-mail, presentations, data entry, database management, and queries. Must be technically proficient to function as system administrator for various applications. Ability to work flexible work schedules including on-call to meet the needs of the end users and training requirements.
