POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Internal Audit is responsible for planning, conducting, and/or overseeing the performance of routine and ad hoc internal audits and controls monitoring. The internal audit department performs a diverse mix of financial, operational, compliance, information technology, and controls based audit projects. In our Internal Audit department, you will continue to develop the skills you learned in public accounting or industry internal audit that can lead to your continued progression in internal audit or optional placement in other roles within the Company.


Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive audit plans based on organizational risks and objectives.
  • Manage direct reports, including project management, reviewing the work of others, skills development, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Assess and enhance internal control framework to ensure reliability of financial reporting.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and management responses.
  • Effectively communicate audit findings and recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate and consult with management on special assignment, including accounting matters, compliance concerns, operational initiatives, and/or due diligence.
  • Manage Internal Audit's collaborative relationship with internal (control owners, hospital management, Corporate leadership) and external parties (external auditors, consultants).

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • CPA License preferred
  • 5+ years of public accounting and/or industry internal audit experience
  • Healthcare experience strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead project activities and mentor team members
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven success executing an audit plan including planning, testing and reporting with a focus on process improvement
  • Communicates results effectively to business owners
  • Ability to proactively monitor and adapt to changing priorities
  • Contribute to a positive team attitude and collaborative working environment
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
