Job Description

Job Summary:

The Quality Analyst IV is responsible for developing, implementing, modeling, and leveraging high volume and highly complex healthcare data to transform into advanced analyses or visual analytic solutions. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing analytical insight to inform strategy and interventions to drive improved quality performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead in generating graphics or dashboards which effectively describe, explore, and summarize analyses for communication to appropriate parties. Design dashboards for internal business teams to use for the delivery of analytics leveraging existing enterprise data infrastructure and analytical communities.
  • Responsible for completing complex analysis to understand the population and help stakeholders develop strategies to close care gaps and maximize performance on quality measures to determine best course of action for each inquiry/problem
  • Utilize the application and database programming within the business intelligence enterprise software development suite to create, maintain and publish reports, dashboards, scorecards, and other displays through Power BI, SAS, Tableau, or other visual mediums.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to team members; lead training analytics team on programming concepts, best practices as well as HEDIS expertise. Interpret and maintain understanding of technical specification documentation; identify areas of clarification which should be raised to governing bodies
  • Provide support and administration of Power BI/SQL and other enterprise tools. Utilize advanced statistical models (e.g., regression analysis, mixed models) to analyze HEDIS, CAHPS, HOS, Population Health, Health Equity, Case Management, Pharmacy, and Operations data to identify factors influencing metrics
  • Responsible for reviewing reports and data for pattern identification, special cause variation identification, trend analysis, or other techniques and provide management level summaries that explain key findings. Interact and collaborate with business units on analysis, reports, data patterns to identify trends
  • Perform any other job duties as requested

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science/Arts degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), computer science or related field or equivalent work experience is required
  • Master of Public Health (MPH) Business Administration (MBA), mathematics, statistics, nursing or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in data analysis, analytic programming using SAS or SQL and/or dashboard development using Power BI (DAX) is required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in HEDIS or similar healthcare performance metrics experience is required
  • Health care delivery and/or payer experience is required
  • Clinical experience is preferred

Competencies, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Intermediate proficiency level with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Advanced analytic skills for solving multi-dimensional business questions
  • Graphic development/presentation skills
  • Proven analytic skills in solving multi-dimensional problems and experience in creating reports, projections, models, dashboards and presentations to senior leadership and business partners
  • Proficient in contemporary analytical/data visualization tools that includes, SQL, SAS, or DAX and programming in a fourth generation language
  • Exposure to statistical concepts strongly preferred
  • Critical thinking and active listening skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Complex problem solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of managed care and health care data coding
  • Ability to lead analytic efforts across teams
  • Programming experience / proficiency (i.e., SQL, SAS, or DAX) is required
  • Advanced Knowledge of managed care and health care data coding
  • Ability to serve as liaison with business partners
  • Ability to interface with IT teams, familiarity with MDS and advanced data architecture

Compensation Range:
$79,800.00 - $127,600.00 CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate's education, training, and experience as well as the position's scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
