GCBHS is seeking an experienced and driven professional to lead our newly established Crisis Receiving Center (CRC) in Southwest Ohio. This program is a collaboration with local law enforcement and offers an alternative to arrest or emergency room for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. As the Director of the Crisis Receiving Center (CRC), you will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and day-to-day operations of this multi-million-dollar, 24/7 facility.

Responsibilities for Director of Crisis Receiving Center:

  • Leading the design and development of the CRC program in collaboration with project partners.
  • Overseeing the hiring, training, and management of a team of 25 FTEs, including psychiatric prescribers, nurses, and clinicians.
  • Managing a multi-million-dollar budget and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and training protocols to ensure the safety of staff and clients.
  • Collaborating with law enforcement agencies to train officers on program criteria and drop-off procedures.
  • Fostering partnerships with co-located programs and providers to ensure seamless client flow.
  • Representing the program to stakeholders and the community, promoting its objectives and achievements.

Requirements for Director of Crisis Receiving Center:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or other mental health/substance abuse related field, or a Registered Nurse (RN), is required. Master's degree and clinical licensure strongly preferred.
  • Extensive management experience in a mental health/substance abuse environment, including senior-level leadership roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of psychiatric risk assessment, crisis intervention, safety planning, and determining appropriate levels of care.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
