Chemical Sales Manager
Cremer Erzkontor North America, member of CREMER North America, is hiring a Chemical Sales Manager to join our sales team. Cremer Erzkontor North America is located in Cincinnati, OH. This position can be based in Cincinnati or via a Hybrid Role based in a large US City, preferable in the Eastern US.

Position Summary:
Reporting directly to the Managing Director- Cremer Erzkontor North America, the Chemical Sales Manager is responsible for contributing to the North American revenue and growth targets via client management, business development and portfolio growth of our chemical products. Additionally, the Chemical Sales Manager collaborates with various departments such as Executive Team, Quality, Operations, Logistics, and Accounting.
Position Requirements:
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in a business-related discipline (preferred)
Kind & Length of Experience:
  • Previous success and 5-7-year track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and margin targets with a strong customer portfolio
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • 2-3 Years experience in chemical sales required.
  • International sales/import/trade experience strongly preferred with an international portfolio of clients.
Performance & Measure Standards
.
  • Ability to identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Travel required 30-50% of the time.
  • Independently allocate resources to achieve goals, objectives, and meet program standards.
  • Adhere to all Site Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security Requirements, Local, State, and Federal Regulations
  • Maintain Hazardous waste in accordance to all Local, State, and Federal Regulations
  • Build valuable relationships with customers and effectively manage accounts.
  • Negotiate pricing with both suppliers and customers to achieve most profitability.
  • Achieve growth by building product portfolio and innovative logistical solutions.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company's customer base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Able to work mostly independently but at times in a team environment.
  • Ability to present sales forecast data to management while managing required report(s) and presentations to peers and management.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Candidates must have experience selling the following chemical products:
    • Phthalic Anhydride
    • Pentaerythritol
    • Sodium Tripolyphosphate
    • Sodium Metabisulphite
    • Methylene Chloride
  • Experience in the following industry segments:
    • Resin
    • Paint
    • Food (meat) & Beverage
    • Water Treatment
    • Cosmetic
    • Detergent/Soap
