Maintenance Manager

Position Summary:
As Maintenance Manager for our client in Florence, KY, you will manage, supervise, and provide technical support and guidance to mechanical personnel of the manufacturing plant to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity, and reliability of packaging equipment. This includes managing projects, providing diagnostic direction, and upgrading/maintaining a strong skill base for all mechanics.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Promote an interdependent safety culture, working proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.
  • Support and embrace the quality and environmental missions of the plant.
  • Respectfully, through words and actions, lead a team of Mechanics and Senior Maintenance Technicians and encourage 100% employee engagement.
  • In coordination with production management, direct and supervise the mechanical workforce ensuring packaging operations attain maximum up-time with the highest level of quality.
  • Participate in the design, layout, installation, modification and upgrading of packaging equipment.
  • Supervise daily packaging maintenance, serving as technical resource to the team.
  • Develop and supervise the implementation of effective maintenance procedures including preventative maintenance programs.
  • Train, coach, and develop the technical base of mechanical staff.
  • Support and lead the company's Safety, Health and Environmental programs. Must be a Safety Champion. Must role-model in training and sustaining change management processes.
  • Manage, assist, or affect the procurement of new equipment or spare parts.
  • Maintain an effective labor/employee relations environment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain all necessary record systems. Role model expertise, training, and sustainment of the site CMMS systems.
  • Manage, implement, and support all policies including, but not limited to, the Corporation's Equal Employment Opportunity policy.
  • Role model verbal, written communication, and partnerships with entire plant, external suppliers and external customers (Packaging Development, Product Development, Marketing, Research and Innovation).
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree with technical training, certifications, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years' experience in a technical capacity involving packaging equipment and a solid technical experience in core mechanical, electrical, and automation controls.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
