The HR Generalist is responsible for partnering with Distribution Center leaders to create a positive and engaging workplace. In this role, you will be the hands-on generalist in human resource related operations to include staffing, training, labor relations, employee relations and strategic areas including employee engagement, talent development, and succession planning. You will report to the Sr Manager, Human Resources. The expectation is that you will be on site in Erlanger, KY, 5 days/wk.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with distribution center leaders to identify and deploy creative and engaging workforce and talent solutions; understand and implement our human resource and talent strategy as it relates to all talent needs, recruiting, retention, engagement, and succession planning, with a focus on DE&I

  • Provide support and guidance to management and other staff; investigate allegations and drive implementation of solutions where relevant

  • Manage and support the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring ofqualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings

  • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes a great compensation package programs to ensure we attract and retain top talent

  • Leverage learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees; creates and facilitates relevant training to partners and related groups

  • Represent organization when engaging with employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance; mitigate legal risks and ensures regulatory compliance. Partner with Employment Counsel as needed/required

  • Partner with peer HRBP's and COE to deliver seamless support to us

  • Advocate the organizational values and builds accountability for supporting a respectful, inclusive workplace culture that represents the LS&Co. values

Qualifications:

  • 5 years' minimum experience in a distribution center environment or similar, lives the LS&Co. values of empathy, originality, integrity and courage

  • Direct employee relations experience in a DC/Warehouse environment

  • Trusted adviser and partner to leaders at all levels

  • Strong relationship builder, solutions-oriented, team player

  • Experience driving change to create a positive work environment where employees and leaders are supported, challengedand enabled to make an impact

  • Live the LS&Co. values of empathy, originality, integrity and courage

  • SHRM - CP, SHRM - SCP or PHR preferred; but not required

The expected starting salary range for this role is $77,300 - $110,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
