Purpose of Position:

Assembles parts to form complete units or subassemblies at a bench or conveyor line. Uses hand tools, small power tools and other special equipment. Receives detailed written and verbal instructions on all work. Reassembles or reworks units as required.

Position Description:

• Perform a variety of operations to assemble parts and components of various products as directed.
• Use all necessary machinery or measuring devices to complete assembling operations.
• Pick specified components or parts as indicated.
• Follow all assembly instructions, written or oral.
• Visually check all parts for defects, notifying appropriate supervision of anomalous parts or components.
• Perform a variety of routine operations to paint and package reducer assemblies according to instructions or established practice.
• Complete all relevant training provided by Regal Rexnord.
• Maintain safe and clean work area.
• Promote team concept.
• Adhere to all safety procedures.
• Perform any other related duties as directed.

Specials Skills:

• Good mechanical aptitude
• Ability to assemble without assistance
• Ability to read and interpret specific instructions
• Ability to interpret blueprints
• Experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, move, manipulate up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to maintain respirator wearing requirements to perform painting functions.
  • Requirements include: having a clean-shaven face for respirator fit test. Once test is completed, facial hair cannot impede the seal of the fit of the respirator. (i.e. - goatee would be acceptable, so long as the facial hair does not cause the respirator to fit improperly).
