Job Functions:
  • Reviewing heavy maintenance requisitions for accuracy and reconcile Heavy Maintenance provider's requirements to ATI's computer data base entered requisitions and make corrections accordingly.
  • Determine best course of action to support the material request, ie: move from stock, purchase, send for quick turn repair, etc.
  • Obtain further information to make best course decisions for items that do not lend themselves to simple solutions, ie: review IPCs for other possible solutions for the requests, request information for possible component repair and return to aircraft.
  • Process and make arrangement to have materials move from stock to the aircraft
  • Process and then purchase / procure from ATI approved supply vendors material required for the aircraft, to include supporting the material sourcing initiatives by the company.
  • Monitor and expedite when needed the movement of material to the aircraft.
  • Remove material flow obstacles such as customs delays, payment requirements, inspection delays and issues, etc.
  • Attend pre dock meetings and prepare for future aircraft arrivals to heavy maintenance to include pre-draw requirements.
  • Ensure that component removals cores are accounted for and turned in up to the point of being able to have repair orders issued.
  • Issue repair orders and process accordingly for core removals up to including ensuring the component ships to the approved repair vendor.
  • Support accounts payable and supply vendors with information and / or actions so that the payment process can be completed.
  • Support the Materials Accounting Analyst with data for the purpose of issuing invoices to third parties.
  • As an ongoing project support and advise what material should routinely be in stock in advance of heavy check to increase in stock pull rate for requested material.
  • Coordinate routine trucking requirements as necessary.
  • All other duties as assigned by ATI management.

Position Requirements:

  • Travel to heavy maintenance locations for extended periods to provide onsite materials support.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work in all climates and weather conditions should the need arise.
  • Must possess a current / valid State Drivers License.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid US passport.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with customers and co-workers; stand, bend, and reach in order to maintain files; sit for extended periods of time; and comply with ATI attendance requirements.
  • Must have computer skills in word, excel and the ability to learn new programs as they change within the company.
  • Must be able to work any shift, weekends and holidays if the need arises.

Preferred Job Skills:

  • Previous experience with aviation heavy maintenance requirements.
  • Previous experience with ATI's computer data base system
  • Previous experience with purchasing aircraft materials
  • Previous experience in the physical handling of aircraft materials

Physical Requirements:

  • Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Sit, stand, lift 30 pounds without assistance, climb stairs and ladders.
  • Comply with ATI attendance requirements
