Description

Purpose:

Responsible for performing operating experience, supervised line flying and line checks with ATI seniority pilots to ATI and FAA standards set forth in the FCTM. Line Check Airmen have a dual role responsibility to ATI and the FAA to ensure our pilots are performing at the highest standard operationally and professionally. A Line Check Airmen is responsible to ensure standards are being met at any time he/she is engaged in line operations in any capacity.

Job Functions:

  • Conducting line checks, OE and SLF as directed on ATI seniority pilots and ensuring standards of proficiency are maintained
  • Correcting procedures not in accordance with the General Operations Manual (GOM), the Flight Crew Training Manual (TM) and FAA regulations
  • Ensuring training/checking forms are accurate and submitted to FST in a timely manner
  • Familiarizing crews with the latest operational and training bulletins
  • Suggestions for improvements and safer operations
  • Completing required checks and training forms and forwarding them to the SR Manager, Flight Standards and Training
  • Follow and when necessary, suggest modifications to the Flight Crew Training Manual (FCTM)

Position Requirements:

  • Must hold the required certificates and ratings to serve as PIC in revenue service
  • First Class Medical
  • Meet the training and currency requirements to serve as ATI PIC
  • Maintain line currency as a flight crewmember.
  • Demonstrate, initially and at least biennially, to an FAA inspector the ability to conduct a proficiency check in an aircraft or simulator.
  • Must champion ATI Flight Standards and Flight Operations policies and procedures in a positive manner to the ATI pilot group

Physical Requirements:

  • Employees are regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Comply with ATI attendance requirements
