Structural Railroad Engineer - Cincinnati, OH

As a Structural Railroad Project Engineer, you will also contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the Railroad group. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of Railroad structural design and be a licensed PE.

The Impact You Will Have:
  • Structural design production coordination with experienced railroad design staff
  • Prepare multiple design projects at one time
  • Perform complete basic analysis and design
  • Develop thorough design details appropriate for the project
  • Understand how to properly apply design standards/codes
  • Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and pay items.
  • Begin to take ownership of all deliverables
What We Are Looking For:
  • BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis or related discipline
  • PE License or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 7 years of structural design experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Railroad specific design projects
  • Experience working with State's DOT preferred.
  • Excellent communication and client relation skills.
  • Progressive experience with developing plans and specifications utilizing Microstation
  • Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules.
  • Ability to perform complex analysis and design
  • Ability to assemble a complete design package for assigned elements or projects
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
